Project Acceptance: Research on Incineration Technology for Non-Biodegradable Organic Waste Meeting Environmental Criteria for Dust, Smoke and Toxic Gas Concentrations

The Centre for Equipment and Environment Research – Vietnam Institute for Building Materials – was assigned on 4 May 2006 the task “Research on incineration technology for non-biodegradable organic waste meeting environmental criteria for dust, smoke and toxic gas concentrations”

Project leader: Eng. Le Quy Kha.
Managing level: Ministry of Construction.

Project content: “Research, manufacture and transfer to an application site of 01 incineration unit for non-biodegradable organic matter suited to the composition of Vietnamese urban waste and meeting environmental quality criteria for dust, smoke and toxic gas concentrations”

Project objective: maximise waste reuse and minimise landfilling.

The project team successfully manufactured the equipment set, consisting of an incinerator and a flue gas treatment system. The treated flue gas meets the standards for dust and toxic gas concentrations. The equipment developed by the team was accepted on 26 March 2007.

Application site: Branch of Tam Sinh Nghia Investment and Development JSC – Thuy Phuong Waste Plant, Hue.
