Scientific Workshop on Criteria for Assessing and Classifying Asbestos-Cement Roofing Sheet Producers and a Roadmap to Reduce Impacts on the Environment and Workers’ Health
The workshop presented criteria for assessing production technology, the environment and workers’ health, and quality management. Comments at the workshop proposed dividing the assessment criteria into 3 groups: mandatory criteria; criteria to be completed in the short term; and non-mandatory criteria to be implemented according to a roadmap.
At the end of the discussion, workshop members highly appreciated the efforts of the project team and requested the team to incorporate the comments, revise and finalise the draft report, and appoint an expert group to review the draft report before the acceptance meeting.
